Yo! Let’s start with me – I’m Lucas, a freshly-baked chess-loving dad who’s ready to pass on the obsession to my kids.

Chess has been my jam since I was a little tike, and I’m determined to use it to improve my own brainpower and help my kids become geniuses, or at least smarter than their old man.
But let’s be real, convincing someone else that chess is cool is harder than convincing a toddler to eat broccoli.
That’s why I created this website – to prove that chess is more than just a game for brainiacs. It’s a tool that can make you calmer, and smarter, and give you an edge in business and life.
Plus, it’s fun!
I’m set on building a community of chess enthusiasts who share my passion for this timeless game.
Together, we’ll explore all the ways chess can improve our lives – from inspiring creativity to boosting mental health.
And if you think chess is just for old-timers in the park, think again.
Inspiration
I am partially inspired by the insane success of Polgar sisters and how their father László Polgár had a wild idea that he could create the world’s greatest chess players before they were even born.
how to raise a genius cover laszlo polgar
And guess what? He wrote a book about it, and his three daughters all became chess grandmasters at a young age!
That just goes to show you, with the right approach, you can teach anyone the game of kings – even kids!
And that’s exactly what I want to do: spread the love and passion for chess to everyone, young and old.
I might not be able to create grandmasters, but I can spread the love for chess in the 21st century.
My website is all about showing parents and chess enthusiasts that chess is exciting, amusing, and full of surprises.
I’ll share funny facts, quirky stories, and inspiring visuals to keep you hooked.
Whether you’re a chess veteran or a total newbie, there’s always something new to learn and enjoy about this fantastic game.
My Experience with Chess
Let me tell you about my journey with the mind-bending game of chess.
I’m no Magnus Carlsen, but I have some solid experience under my belt.
I’ve won several local chess championships, and I’m not ashamed to admit that I can whoop my friends and family’s butts on a regular basis.
I’ve played several thousands of games on Chess.com, but never really got much higher thant 1500 elo score. ( lichess, where seems like its easier, i’d get to around 1700).
Its not bad, but not greatest neither. There’s definitely room to improve 😀
I didn’t start out as a chess prodigy, though.
I learned the game from watching others play and just by being interested in the game.
Bassicaly mostly played just from my gut.
But with a lot of practice and patience, I became lets say above the average player.
For the purpose of the website and to show that i do have a decent chess knowledge, i even bought and finished some chess Udemy courses and received a nice Chess Certificate !
Some people might say I’m somewhat of an expert in the field of chess, but hey, I’m always learning and improving.
Long road ahead until i get my GrandMaster title though 🙂
I’m excited to share my knowledge and passion for chess with you all through my website.
Together, we’ll learn, play, and have a blast while doing it!
Other Authors
Alright, let’s chat for a minute about my face. Or rather, my lack of a face.
When I first started this website, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to show my face or stay anonymous.
I mean, who wants to be recognized at the grocery store as “that chess guy”?!
But as things may progress, and as more and more people will join our community, I think it might be nice to put a face to the name.
So, while I may have started off a bit camera shy, I’m open to the idea of showing my face and joining in the fun.
Who knows, maybe one day we can even play a game of chess together!
But don’t worry, I’ll still keep some of that air of mystery and intrigue.
There are also other authors who help me to develop the site and articles, but who would rather prefer to stay annonymous.
